The first estimate for extra–EU exports of goods in September 2022 was €232.0 billion, up by 24.0% compared with September 2021 (€187.1 bn). Imports from the rest of the world stood at €277.8 bn, up by 48.2% compared with September 2021 (€187.4 bn). As a result, the EU recorded a €45.8 bn deficit in trade in goods with the rest of the world in September 2022, compared with –€0.3 bn in September 2021. Intra–EU trade rose to €383.0 bn in September 2022, +26.1% compared with September 2021
