This is very mixed news. When things get tough for transnational corporations, the American justice system gets going. Besides, Germany´s pharmaceutical transnational Bayer still has the Trump administration, the Republicans, and of course the Supreme Court as backstops. Considering the profits, Bayer will be prepared to pay a lot, and considering the potential donations, jobs, and other amenities from Bayer, Merkel´s Christian Union and the German Social Democratic Party will be prepared to bend backwards to gain Trump´s support.
