What no one wishes to admit is that lobbying is simply rampant corruption that has been anchored in legality by those who profit from it: politicians. Simple principles like a level playing field – a citizen does not have the funds to wine and dine politicians, invite them to luxury “information travel”, provide them and their families with well paid jobs (during and after their politically active period), etc. – seem to be irrelevant with regard to lobbying.
