The EU has been lying to its citizens for two years, claiming that Brexit would destroy the British economy while leaving EU business unscathed. How that would be possible if Germany alone has a 40 billion euro trade surplus with the UK is unclear. A German think tank study speaks of the loss of at least 100,000 jobs alone in Germany. Now that a recession is imminent, EU intransigence may have consequences. A healthy portion of EU fudge seems in the making.
