The first estimate for euro area exports of goods to the rest of the world in January 2022 was €199.5 billion, an increase of 18.9% compared with January 2021 (€167.8 bn). Imports from the rest of the world stood at €226.7 bn, a rise of 44.3% compared with January 2021 (€157.1 bn), driven by a further increase in energy imports.
