Anna Minton: Developers are using culture as a Trojan horse in their planning battles

It’s an old story in many cities. Artists move into a derelict building, because the need cheap ateliers or rehearsal rooms. The building becomes hip, property developers buy it and throw out the artists. Luxury flats are built, often with its artistic provenance as a selling point. In London artists are using their art to combat this process.
