Three years ago, Laurie Anderson, a globally acclaimed performance artist, called for all economic and cultural relations with Israel to be “cut”, saying that Israel’s apartheid government should be subject to “sanctions” and that the founding of the state had created a “single apartheid system”.
2023 Anderson was appointed to a guest professorship by Germany’s Folkwang University for the spring semester beginning in April. When the university found out she supported BDS they started an inquistion. Anderson withdrew her acceptance.
In keeping with German New Age Fascism the university claimed: “The university is firmly opposed to all forms of anti-Semitism, hatred, and racism.”, something that only the masterrace can determine.
