Today, there are many sources of information, analysis and ideas that are under existential threat. During this global crisis all of us who are not desperately struggling to feed, clothe and house ourselves and our families, are faced with a dilemma – how and where to give our support?
We could support the health services, care homes, teaching, theatres, music, the hospitality sector – all things vital to life as we know it. But it is also worth bearing in mind the sheer importance of independent sources of information, analysis and ideas. Powerful interests have captured large parts of the media, manipulating us with various forms of fake news.
