On the Gaza Genocide: A Conversation with Norman Finkelstein and Chris Hedges features pre-planned questions to the guests about the current situation in the Gaza Strip of Palestine, along with questions about its history. About half of the time is given to audience questions and dialogue. This event occurs in room 50 of Princeton University’s McCosh Hall.

Chris Hedges is a Pulitzer-prize-winning journalist, best-selling author, & activist who has reported out of Gaza and was the Middle East Bureau Chief for the New York Times until he left the paper when told he was not allowed to publicly oppose the US invasion of Iraq. Hedges graduated from Colgate University with a BA in English Literature and received a Master of Divinity (MDiv) from Harvard University. He was awarded an honorary doctorate in 2009 from Starr King School for the Ministry in Berkeley, California.

Dr. Norman Finkelstein is a political scientist, activist, and author of many books on Palestine/Israel, including Gaza: an Inquest into its Martyrdom. As the son of Holocaust survivors, Dr. Finkelstein has become a prominent Jewish advocate for the humanity of all people in the land of Palestine/Israel. Finkelstein graduated from Binghamton University’s School for Advanced Studies in the Social Sciences and received his Ph.D. from the Princeton University Politics Department. He has held faculty positions at Brooklyn College, Rutgers University, Hunter College, New York University, and DePaul University.
