DeSmog UK has just launched a brand new Climate Disinformation Database.
As world leaders gather at President Macron’s One Planet summit celebrating the second anniversary of the Paris Agreement this week, our new database casts light on those lobbying to restrict action on climate change.
The database contains almost 70 new profiles of individuals and organisations lobbying to preserve the fossil-fuelled status quo.
Based on the research database at our US sister site, DeSmogBlog, DeSmog UK’s Climate Disinformation Database and profiles will be updated regularly with key quotes and actions from those seeking to dampen global commitment to tackling climate change. This short video explains how the database works.
We have also launched a brand new map, showing how the connections between actors working against on climate change; from Theresa May’s cabinet, to fossil fuel companies, to shadowy funders and think tanks.
