The press releases at Eurostat always try to put a positive spin on its articles. This one is no different, but if you look closer – see chart below – you will see that since the Ukraine war began industrial production has not grown in the euroarea. Great news for the climate, it say a lot about the EU economy.
One must also keep in mind that if the press department feels it is their duty to provide skewed information, if the statisticians are also under the same pressure.
