It’s a model that repeats itself in the Eastern EU nations: Corrupt governments, providing tax-attractive investment for Western European companies (Slovakia is one enormous German car factory), banks, retailers, etc., sending cheap labour to the West to undermine wages thanks to the EU’s law for Posted Workers, cashing in on the remittances and EU transfers. And who is better qualified than the experts at the mafia to manipulate these.
