Romania’s corrupt political elite is trying to get rid of the National Anticorruption Directorate’s chief prosecutor and her deputy. The reason: they are doing their job and investigating, arresting, and convicting leading politicians. Should the governments of Poland or Hungary do the same, there would be an outcry by EU politicians and corporate media, but Romania is a good EU vassal state and does what it is told.
