This only exemplifies how corrupt the EU political elite is. Romano Prodi, former President of the European Commission, is still being held up as a European statesman. Despite a generous EU pension he is still on the take. The article emphasises that these were all left-of-centre politicians. Left or right, it is a question of integrity, at that is something the EU political elite has little of.
