This is a further excellent piece concerning neoliberalism, what it is and why it does not work. Rodrik is of the opinion that there is no single neoliberalism. In fact the elements behind it are basic economics that can be beneficial used in the right situation and accompanied by the political lodestars such as equality, social inclusion, democratic deliberation and justice. He concludes: “The fatal flaw of neoliberalism is that it does not even get the economics right. It must be rejected on its own terms for the simple reason that it is bad economics.”
