One of the reasons the German government was so keen on having Ursula von der Leyen elected as EU Commission president was to get her out of Berlin, where as Secretary of Defence she was being investigated for illicit awards of consultancy contracts. As we see, she is just continuing her old scam in Brussels. Endemic corruption of the European political class is everywhere.
