Michael Roberts: Carillion and the ‘dead end’ of privatisation

We did not want to post any articles concerning Carillion. It was a specifically British event. The collapse of Carillion, one of the UK’s largest leading construction and service companies, has resulted in important analyses concerning transferring public services to private companies. This blog by Michael Roberts is the most perspicuous summary of the situation up to now. His arguments are well founded. The focus is not upon the UK, but private versus public company efficiency.
