The message concerning the UK University Strike seems to be slowly but surely sinking in. For this we have only the very hard work that the strikers have invested in making the facts and their opinion known – not to mention being out on the streets in some very inclement weather. Just as important has been the solidarity of many students, who did not let themselves be manipulated as opponents of their teaching staff – something that the university administration was apparently counting on.
