Lex is the master of the long form interview, and this three and a half hour conversation dived extremely deeply into my analysis of economics.
It took me a while to appreciate that what Lex does is ask the questions he wants to have answered as a form of self-education: the audience then gets to watch the learning process, rather than having a performance designed for them.
Once I did realise this, I think the conversation became easier to follow; but initially it will be very heavy (and at one point, Lex said “my head hurts”).
