labournet.tv: Berlin riders protest against dangerous conditions

The riders have been forced to work in temperatures as low as -16 degrees, and cycle in the ice and snow. The riders are demanding that the delivery services take their safety seriously and cancel shifts – without pay deductions or other negative consequences for the riders.

On 8 February, a rider in Madrid died in a traffic accident. The Gig Economy Report published a piece last week by Lis Graiber examining a new University of Valencia study showing that riders without employee rights are at greater risk in terms of their health and safety.
